Devon Tunnell is the Managing Editor at Proven Content, a role that combines content curation with quality control and project management. Devon’s strong feelings about words, language, and proper punctuation evolved over a lifetime of reading and writing. While she loves — and hates — to write, she finds more satisfaction in editing, which she compares to solving a jigsaw puzzle. As an editor, her purpose lies in revealing a complete picture — with no missing or leftover pieces.

Devon graduated summa cum laude from Texas Wesleyan University in 2018 — the same year her second child finished high school. At Texas Wesleyan, she studied English with a focus on rhetoric and multimodal composition. Devon has worked as a freelance writer, editor, and proofreader since 2014 and spent three years as a technical writer and content creator for a prominent government contractor.

In her free time, Devon enjoys reading, knitting, embroidery, drawing, and practicing martial arts and yoga. She loves hanging out with her four kids — usually watching movies, playing video or board games, and talking about any- and everything. She is happiest when all her children are together under one roof, which doesn’t happen as often as she would like now that they’re all grown up.

Devon’s favorite thing about Proven Content is being part of the team, “From day one, I have been listened to, encouraged to share my thoughts and opinions, and acknowledged for my particular expertise.” She finds the open communication, friendly atmosphere, and easy collaboration both refreshing and inspiring, “Everyone here knows their stuff, and we’re all willing to help each other out and do whatever it takes to deliver quality content.”
